By the time you are 35 weeks pregnant you start having goose bumps about the awaiting delivery. In the past few months you saw your baby growing which is now weighing as big as the size of the flour bag. He can blink his eyes now and the eye-lashes have been formed too.

Its lungs by this time are adept to breathe in the air because even if the birth occurs in this period, the probabilities of survival are very high. Its brain has also started developing neurons to be ready for the world outside.

Considering for the mother-to-be at 35th week of pregnancy, small tubes starts forming inside the uterus, this ensures that the baby has a healthy pink glow! The antibodies in its system are being dripped up from her blood for strengthening of the immune system. This also saves it from the diseases happening post birth.


Major organs such as the brain, liver and lungs are already made. As this is the final trimester, the mother by this time gains almost eleven pounds more. Visiting your doctors almost every week also becomes vital.

At 35 weeks pregnant your uterus is massing most of your internal organs and this is the explanation as to why you require visiting the loo more frequently than usual. Indigestion and other intestine related troubles could also cause some uneasiness. It is advisable to have small but frequent meals.

By the end of this week, stay mentally prepared for your delivery, as the final date is approaching near and you will finally hold your child in your hand.
